WASHINGTON, DC – (May 19, 2017) – Redskins linebacker, Ryan Kerrigan, is dedicated to providing support to seriously ill, special needs, and physically challenged children.
Since 2013, Ryan Kerrigan’s Blitz for the Better Foundation, the linebacker’s nonprofit foundation, has been providing opportunities, support, and resources to children and families in need. Through signature programs like Ryan’s Reindeer Rush and Kerrigan’s Korners, he has impacted the lives of thousands of people in the DMV.
Now, in Ryan Kerrigan’s 7th year in the NFL, he has decided to take his foundation to the next level.
The linebacker understands that families with children diagnosed with serious illness or a physical or mental challenge often face major financial hardship.
Thus, Ryan Kerrigan is launching the Positive Impact Fund to provide financial assistance to families in need with chronically ill children as well as those with special needs. The Positive Impact Fund will serve as a financial hand-up to allow families to strengthen their abilities to care for themselves and enhance their stability, security, and quality of life.
The official kickoff for the Positive Impact Fund will be on May 31st at The Loft at 600 F. The event, An Evening with Ryan Kerrigan, will raise funds for the initiative while giving supporters to chance to meet Kerrigan. Tickets are available to the public and all proceeds benefit the cause.
The CPMG Foundation, founded in 2014 by the Menkiti Group and Keller Williams Capital Properties, has stepped up as the first donor by pledging a minimum of $25,000 to Ryan Kerrigan’s Blitz for the Better Foundation for the Positive Impact Fund. Headquartered in Washington, DC, The Menkiti Group is a real estate services company dedicated to enhancing the fabric of life in America’s urban neighborhoods through the strategic development, management, and sale of residential and commercial property. The Menkiti Group also owns and operates Keller Williams Capital Properties, one of the fastest-growing real estate brokerages in the DC metro area, with seven offices and nearly 1,000 agents.
